On Microblogging and Freelance Writing .
2020 hasn’t been the best when it comes to my being consistent on the blog. I started a YouTube channel but I haven’t been consistent with that too. It’s been close to a month since I posted on the blog and on YouTube and 5 months before my last post. However, a recent post by Ifeoma Amadi of SIAINSTYLE, on microblogging gave me a bit of a push to try at being consistent.
Inspired by Ifeoma, I will be microblogging, EVERYDAY till the end of March.
Why am I doing this all of a sudden? Well, it’s a way to remind myself of why I started this blog in the first place, without all the pressure of drafting the perfect blogpost. It’s also a way to get back to writing again, I sort of miss it.
Which is the perfect segue into the other half of this post.
FREELANCE FASHION WRITING
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to work in fashion and I’ve always wanted to write and as an adult I’ve been looking for ways to have both in my life, which was one of the main reasons for starting this blog. I do however, want to be able to make a living from my ‘passion’.
So, I’ve been looking into trying my hand at freelance fashion writing and boy oh boy, am I nervous and apprehensive. Never, have I more felt like an imposter. This microblog will be my accountability partner, I will check in with you all on how my attempt at freelance work is going.
So there it is my first microblog post. I can’t wait to write another tomorrow, hopefully the words are as free flowing as today’s post.
