The final day of LFWNG 2018 is wrought excitement and nervous energy.

Outside the runway tents, whispers of leather, of womens wear and Tokyo can be heard. Tokyo James is debuting his first women’s collection.  As the first female model walked down the runway , Savage, Sexy, Sweet ran through my mind.

The silhouette, though sheath like, fit like a glove as it grazed the curves of the models beautifully. The use of leather was refreshing  and far from costume like. An excellent juxtaposition of the hard shell and soft center of a woman.

Tokyo James smashed his first womenswear collection out the park.

The lineup of Day 3 of LFWNG runway shows is packed full with cult favourites. Designers who are expected to put on a spectacular show, One of such designers is Mai Atafo. 

Mai Atafo is known for his impeccable tailoring with both his Tuxedo and Wedding dress atelier. His SS19 ready to wear collection was no different.

Impeccable tailoring was a given. The fabrication of the collection enhanced that feature. The cotton and trouser length linen. The deconstructed menswear articles of clothing were clean and sharp. The pinstripe accentuated the clean lines. 

The exaggerated pockets, cargo pants, gave it a utilitarian almost SAFARI ready feel. Solid grays, browns and orange provided the palette for all the details to shine. 

The final day of LFWNG featured a host of amazing runway shows like the Orange Culture show, Elie Kuame, Deola Sagoe etc. There’s only so many I can talk about.
